The Alphabet

Facic uses the English/French/German/Italian/Spanish alphabet with a few alterations.....

a b c d e f g h i j l m n o p r s t u v w y

As you can probably see, there is no k,q,x or z as these are either unneccesary or can be difficult to pronounce. Also there are no capital letters. There are approximations of the missing letters though:

1) Instead of K always use C.

2) Qu is also replaced by C.

3) Instead of X use CS

4) Being very rare, there is not much point in the z sound, so instead of Z use S.

There are things you need to know about the sounds different words make so here is the pronounciation section:

1) The vowels are nearly always flat i.e

- stale has a round A in it. In Facic (if for some reason you wanted to say this word) it would become sta- (as in stand) + -le (as in let).

- the word for mother (matec) sounds like ma- (as in man) + -tec (as in technology).

2) The sh sound stays the same as in English.

3) The oo sound is as in english.

4) The ee sound is as in english.

5) Any other double vowel (ei, ie, ae, ea, ii etc.) makes a round 'i' sound as in (bike) or (light).

And thats it. Whereas any other language would have 100's of complicated sounds and spellings that would take a long time to learn and might not follow a pattern.
